Content Producers
The Content Producers Subscription is designed and recommended for Corporate Ad Departments, Print Buying Agents, Publishing Houses, Ad Agencies, Promotions Agencies, Graphic Design Studios, Photography Studios, and Prepress Studios. This level has the functionality that allows confirmation of other participant's adherence to critical proofing specifications and other functionality as follows:
- CCN Paper Selection Array
- Colors-to-CMYK Conversion
- Production of CCN Compliant proofs
- Perform and View Proof Analysis
Things (not provided by CCN) you will need at this subscription level to perform all the functions above:
- One workstation with Internet access.
- One X-Rite Series-500 color measurement spectrodensitometer, interfaced with the workstation.
- One proofing system capable of complying with CCN proofing specifications. This requirement may be met by employing a service bureau that produces CCN compliant proofs.
Printers
The Printer's Subscription is the level designed for Commercial Printers, Packaging Converters, In-Plant Printers and Trade Printers. This level has all the functionality of the above subscription level plus the following:
- Platemaking System Profiling
- Plate Analysis
- Press Characterization
- Press Profile Initialization
- Image Processing Parameters
Things (not provided by CCN) you will need at this subscription level:
- One workstation with Internet access per user. (These need not be dedicated only to CCN functions)
- One X-Rite Series-500 color measurement spectrodensitometer, interfaced with the one of the workstations.
- One wet or waterless sheetfed offset printing press, minimum 4/color, plus aqueous or varnish coating capabilities, or one web-heatset offset printing press, minimum 4/color, with high ink-solid-density capabilities (all in excellent working condition).
- Internal digital workflow network.
- One computer-to-plate system.
The following hardware and client-side software will be provided and licensed by CCN to Printer Subscription Level Users:
- CCN Satellite, hardware
- CCN Color Image Transformation Engine, software
- CCN Management Console, software
