Motheral Printing Adopts Color Control Network to Enable Industry
Best High Density 4/Color Printing.
Oct 25, 2007 - Ft. Worth, TX - Color Control Network (CCN)
announces that Motheral Printing has signed on to become a
certified provider of CCN's patented color management technology.
Motheral has a long history of leveraging new technologies that
enhance their production capabilities. They are always on the
lookout for new ways to improve efficiency and to enhance the
superior printing that they are known for. With CCN they believe
they have found a technology that does both.
"What first attracted us to CCN was that we found we were able to
better control our presses when using a 4 color process to print at
extremely high densities". Says David Motheral, VP of print
operations at the family owned company. "A lot of customers simply
will not pay the added cost of going beyond 4 colors on certain
jobs. At the same time, what they really want is that deep
saturation that traditionally could only be achieved using a six or
more color process. CCN changes the way we can approach those
customers. In addition, CCN adds to our current ability to predict
what comes off our presses. This is an area that we have always
prided ourselves in and CCN is a great enhancement to that end."
"We are very pleased to have Motheral on board" says John Jeffus,
Chief Technology Officer of Color Control Network, "David and his
group have a really good understanding of what our system can do
for four color printing and they have been really great to work
with. For our part, we love the opportunity to go into an operation
that has such a solid history of adopting cutting edge technologies
for the benefit of their customers. We are certain that the
adoption of our system will only enhance that reputation."

ColorMark, L. C., Completes Integration of CCN Technology with Acquisition of KODAK Prinergy Workflow and KODAK Approval XP Proofing
DALLAS, Texas - MAY 15, 2007 - Color Control Network (CCN) announces that ColorMark is the first printer in the U.S. having the capability to carry out, in-house, the complete Color Control Network process. The acquisition of a Kodak Prinergy workflow and a Kodak Approval proofing system closes the circle in this new proficiency.
Before these recent acquisitions, ColorMark (http://www.colormark-lc.com) outsourced the proofing and processing of PDF files to be used with the CCN process. By acquiring the Approval and Prinergy (http://graphics.kodak.com) ColorMark puts a unified process in-house that improves job turn-around time and lowers its production cost. Such tight in-house control allows ColorMark to meet the unique demands of their customers and to precisely account for more printing variables leading to unprecedented color predictability on press.
ColorMark, a DFW area printer, was the printer research site during development of Color Control Network's (www.colorcontrolnetwork.com) patented technology. This evolved into their becoming the test-site for the prototype system and then progressed into their being the first adopter of the final release of the system. With 5 years experience in using the CCN system, ColorMark has produced over 200 jobs for large corporate buyers and is proud to report that each undertaking has ended with a very happy customer. Typically running at densities of 1.95, 1.95, 1.40, 2.00 / C, M, Y, K, respectively, CCN provides for intense color and contrast that customers perceive as added marketing value in their printed pieces.
"We are very pleased to offer the entire CCN system in-house and believe that this is a great addition to our list of quality oriented services. Altogether, the combination of CCN and Kodak have proven to be a great investment", says Dave Hudson, President of ColorMark, L.C.

ADVERTISERS TO BENEFIT AS NEW COMPANY INTRODUCES BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGY IN 4/C COMMERCIAL PRINTING
Dallas, Texas. April 12th, 2007 --
Color Control Network (CCN), today announces the availability of its patented technology which offers an extended color gamut and unprecedented accuracy to offset printing. Henry Martinez, founder and CEO of CCN, has received two US patents for his work in the field of 4/C lithography.
"When I began working with color separation images, I kept wondering, where did all of my beautiful, intense colors go?" "And, if I feel this way, imagine how the advertisers who depend on these images to sell for them must feel!" Mr. Martinez says of why he started to study this problem. He began to experiment with highly pigmented inks in order to obtain a longer printing range and capture those intense colors. Printing accurately at higher densities without unwanted color distortion calls for modeling the behavior of highly pigmented inks as they are superimposed to form color images, going beyond the conventional approach of only addressing tone-reproduction. This discovery ultimately led to CCN certified inks which are currently distributed by Top Level Ink. CCN's Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black typically run at solid densities of 1.95, 1.95, 1.40, and 2.00 respectively
In their patented methodology for modeling the behavior of inks, CCN uses a number of sophisticated algorithms to generate a proprietary, 256 element, 32-curves set which is applied to each file before it is plated. Adjustments are based on detailed analysis of the elements of a given job, including, but not limited to characteristics of the press, the proofing system, and the paper.
"Intense color with predictable results remains an objective in 4/C commercial printing," says John Jeffus, Chief Technical Officer of CCN, "and we are very excited to offer a technology that can potentially rival the visual impact of photography, ink jet printing, and RGB monitors using a set of four inks."
CCN's web-based service is easily integrated with the most basic to the most complex of today's workflows. The system is designed to work with digital halftone proofing systems from leading manufacturers and currently supports Kodak's Approval. Support for other manufacturers' proofing systems are planned and will follow at a later date.
This technology is now available to print content producers, heat-set web, and sheetfed offset printers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. CCN will announce the national availability of their services through a network of certified color management consultants at GRAPH EXPO, booth #4653, September 9th, 2007.
